It's been over a month now, so I went out and grabbed a few subjective insights.

Despite data being such a large part of player evaluation these days, scouts remain an integral part of the process. Context matters, and data can only tell us so much.

Here’s what scouts had to say about some of the Mariners’ top prospects after the first month or so of the 2025 season. I called around on a sixth prospect at the last second, too. :)
