It never really comes out of nowhere, because Jerry Dipoto conditioned us long ago to expect the unexpected, but the Seattle Mariners made a deal with the Baltimore Orioles Wednesday, acquiring right-hander Mike Baumann and catcher Michael Pérez in exchange for catcher Blake Hunt, whom I had ranked at No. 24 in my latest Mariners prospect rankings.
