The Seattle Mariners have received a ton of value from their farm system in the Jerry Dipoto era, led by four starting pitchers, Julio Rodriguez, and Cal Raleigh. The next wave began to hit the big leagues this past summer when 1B Tyler Locklear was called up for two stints in June and July, 2B Ryan Bliss received a 71-PA cup of coffee, now-traded OF Jonatan Clase was summoned twice from the minors, and right-hander Troy Taylor showed he deserved to be part of the bullpen moving forward.

In 2025, Locklear and Bliss will likely start the season in Triple-A Tacoma, but a handful of other solid Mariners prospects have a chance to earn a shot. But getting to the majors and staying in the majors are two different things, and staying in the bigs and making a real impact aren’t synonymous, either.

Let’s talk about expectations for these prospects, starting with those that made their debuts in 2024.
