Jason, regarding an earlier comment about the baseball swing, here is a slow motion video of Ohtani's swing. The move where he tucks his trail arm into his pocket is a classic golf move and his lead arm is relatively straight.

I'm curious about Colin Snider. His scouting report for previous seasons is that he's got all the pieces but it just hasn't translated into production at the big league level. It's the kind of profile the Mariner pitching lab has turned into breakout winners. What are your thoughts?

His control has gone south in the upper minors and big leagues. His two-seamer is terrible despite the velocity, his slider is a good pitch with decent whiff rates, but his walk rates went from 5.5, 4.3, and 5.2 below AA, to 9.2% in AA, 8.6% in AAA, then 16% in AAA, 10% in the bigs in 34.1 innings, back to 16% and 14% in AAA/MLB the next year... that's where it starts.

But because his fastball (two-seam) is super hittable, he has to command it better. Not going to get value from it otherwise.

*Control being the basic ability to thow strikes, Command being the ability to throw the pitch in a more specific and valuable location.
